Good evening All

With a number of other blogs we thought that it was about time we added a blog which focussed on one of our great passions, namely Genealogy!. For over 2 years we ran probably the most successful Genealogy Group on MSN in the form of British Genealogy. In early 2005 we transferred to our own website at The Amateur Genealogist (www.amateur-genealogist.com) and the following months saw a number of other sites added to our range of services most notably Catholic Genealogy at www.catholic-genealogy.com. The sites have become highly successful and we have a thriving membership.

October 2005 saw a massive overhaul of the non-members area with a complete redesign and this is currently being extended to the members area as I write! We also merged the two main sites and The Amateur Genealogist incorporating Catholic Genealogy can now be found at www.amateur-genealogist.com.

This blog will bring you news about the site, general genealogy and events in the world of genealogy. We will also feature products and services that we have found which we believe are of genuine value to genealogist.
